The federal government awards billions of grant dollars each year that support a vast range of services and programs. But this arena is tough and winning federal awards isn’t easy. Competing for Federal Grants provides you with proven approaches and tools to tip the odds in your favor, making your grant applications more competitive and more likely to succeed.

During this training you'll:

  • Find federal grant opportunities that match your organization’s mission and priorities
  • Examine application guidelines and analyze funded proposals to see what works, what doesn’t, and why
  • Learn to create a work-plan to guide your proposal development
  • Write and review concept papers that address key proposal sections
  • Learn how to get a head start on competitions before funding guidelines are even released

Thanks for this excellent training! Two months later, I applied for my first federal grant. Our college was one of only 10 awardees in the nation and will receive nearly $750,000 over three years. I really appreciate the encouragement and instruction.

– Melissa Vermillion, Hazard Community & Technical College, Hazard, KY
